Welcome to NAAAHR Los Angeles! Our 2009 theme is Deliver and Achieve Excellence: "The Courage and Confidence to Lead". Although we do not exclude our goal for NAAAHR Los Angeles is to nurture African American Human Resources Professionals by providing a platform for leadership, personal development, and relevant resources for HR professionals and others aligned with our goals. We have some exciting topics and events planned. Our monthly meetings provide a forum where members can share, enhance their professional development, gain advance strategies and best practices that can be applied immediately, along with resources and leadership on issues affecting you organization, individual career, and quality of work life. What is NAAAHR? The National Association of African Americans in Human Resources is a national organization concerned with improving the professional development of African American Human Resources professionals, consultants, and students.

The focus of the organization is to serve as a network, resource, and forum for African American Human Resource professionals. The Los Angeles chapter is comprised of Human Resources professionals in the Greater LA area.


The LA Chapter is the recognized leader, voice, and conscience shaping issues that concern African Americans in the workplace. We provide professional development for African American Human Resource professionals. We serve as a resource for African Americans in developing a career within Human Resources. We provide a platform that educates Human Resource professionals on new business trends and best practices, while educating our communities on relevant HR policies and procedures.
